In a deal between web auctioneer eBbay and Microsoft's MSN Internet service, users will be able to check their eBay activities when they log onto MSN.
The service, which is the first deal between eBay and an internet portal will mean people who personalise their home pages can click onto 'My eBay tools and information, and make comments, complete transactions, track auctions and view bidding histories.
Both companies are in a multi-year joint marketing agreement, which was struck in June, according to recent research by Nielsen/Net Ratings 82 per cent of eBay visitors also visit MSN.
The move is part of Microsoft's relaunch of MSN and could help in its fight for leadership in the portal arena such as Yahoo.
Microsoft also announced a new homepage for broadband customers with a new video service as part of the MSN revamp, and eBay is looking at providing more content to MSN such as top listings or top searches.
Jeff Housenbold, vice president of Internet marketing at eBay, told CNET News: 'Given the number of visitors who frequent both eBay and MSN, the integration of My eBay provides a logical and convenient way for these users to stay connected with their activities.'
